At Heart Link Health Care, we believe that excellent care starts with staff who are properly trained, knowledgeable and confident in their roles. That is why we provide our staff training in-house, giving us the opportunity to deliver learning that reflects our standards, policies and the needs of the people we support.
Our In-House Training
Our staff undertake a structured programme of training which may include:

Food hygiene
First aid and emergency awareness
Dementia awareness

Confidentiality and data protection

Where an individual has specific or more complex support needs, we can provide or arrange additional appropriate training to help ensure staff have the knowledge and skills required to provide safe and effective support.
More Than Just Completing a Course
For us, training is not simply about completing a certificate.
We want our staff to be able to understand, demonstrate and confidently apply what they have learned in practice.
Training is supported by induction, supervision, competency assessments, refresher training and ongoing professional development.
Supporting Continuous Development
We encourage our staff to continually develop their knowledge, skills and confidence throughout their employment with Heart Link Health Care.
Where applicable, we also support staff to work towards relevant qualifications and meet their professional SSSC registration and development requirements.
